Each roll contains 50 circulated pre-1965 United States dimes, totaling $5 face value. Every roll includes a mixture of Mercury dimes, issued from 1916 through 1945, and Roosevelt dimes, issued from 1946 through 1964. All included dimes were struck in the United States from an alloy containing 90% silver and 10% copper.
A standard circulated roll contains approximately 3.575 troy ounces of silver, although actual weight may vary slightly because of normal circulation wear. Dates, mintmarks, conditions, and the proportion of Mercury to Roosevelt dimes will vary from roll to roll.
These rolls are sold as received and have not been searched by SGSE for key dates, better mintmarks, varieties, or errors. No specific dates, mintmarks, grades, or collectible finds are guaranteed. Coins may display typical circulation wear, toning, discoloration, scratches, or other signs of age and use.
Pre-1965 90% silver dime rolls remain popular with both precious-metals buyers and collectors because they combine recognizable historic United States coinage with fractional silver content. Since this type of silver coinage is no longer produced for circulation, each roll also offers the possibility of older dates and collectible varieties in addition to its underlying silver value.
Each purchase includes one mixed roll of 50 Mercury and Roosevelt silver dimes, $5 total face value.
